End Bindings:

Attach the end bindings to the pouch following the pattern details.

We chose to eliminate some bulk in the seams by removing a section of foam before closing the binding. This removal will help make sewing the box corners in the next step easier.

  • Measure and mark the cutting lines for the boxed corners.
  • Moving towards the zipper, measure and mark an inch away from the inner box corner line.
  • Trim foam in between those two marks.
  • Close binding as per pattern directions.

Box Corners:

Using the pattern for measurement specifics, cut the pouch corners to prepare for boxing.

Handle Attachment & Corner Bindings:

Insert handle ends into the box corner openings and sew to secure.

Bind corner ends as instructed in the pattern. You may find it helpful to use a stiletto to help guide the thick seams through your sewing machine.
